Our Custom Web Design Process
What can you expect during our design process?
After we have received your deposit, please fillout the new customer questiionaire and read our Terms of Service agreement. We will need to know if you already have an existing website and if you wish to keep the domain name. Since the first year of hosting is included, there will be some changes required for your existing domain name. If you do not have a domain name or want to change it, we can discuss available options.
We will also discuss colors and additional options that you may wish to have as well as what the business direction is for your website. We will take this information and come up with a preliminary design. During the design process, I will ask that you start gathering pictures and thinking of content, if they are not scanned that’s fine. You can send them to me and I can scan them. If you are members of any associations that you want listed please compile a list. I will also need a copy of your logo as well.
After the initial design is complete I will demonstrate the design to you and get your feedback and make adjustments if needed based on our discussion and finalize the design.
The Process of Adding Content
Once we come up with a design I can move fairly quickly. I am more than happy to assist in the content writing so it does not have to be perfect. I will take the pictures and load them into the site with the content. Once it is up, we can start moving images, videos and content around until you are happy with the end product. The design process, in most cases will take 30 days from the agreement of a website design.
While we are finishing the content upload, we will also start working with our search engine optimization contact to begin working on getting your website listed in the search engines. Optimization reports will also be run against your web site, and recommendations mitigated. You may have access to these final reports, if desired.
The last task is to show you how to update your content. We also have some tutorials written to assist you. Updating is easy, but if you need assistance we do have some website update plans if needed. Don't worry though, we will not leave you stranded!
I will also be providing you with a login and password to our customer only pages that will have the tutorials as well as the support center contact form should you have any questions once your site is active.
After this is complete, I will hand the website over to you. We are done!
