JAS Designs is a member of the Gilead Technology Group, LLC As part of the initial agreement with JAS Designs a new customer is requested to read and accept the terms of service as designated below:
Website Deposit
Prior to the start of any project a non-refundable deposit will be collected along with acknowledgement of Terms and Conditions. No work will begin on the website until this deposit is received. Payment can be completed via mail or through Pay Pal.
After the website is complete, the final payment is due within 10 business days unless payment plan agreement was enabled. If the payment is not made at that time a 10% penalty will be incurred. Should payment not be received within 30 days of final website release, the website will be suspended pending payment.
If you agreed to a payment plan, all payments are due with 10 days of agreed upon payment date. A 10% penalty will incur on the payment should it not be received as agreed. Should payment not be received within 30 days of final website release, the website will be suspended pending payment.
"Complete" is defined as the website being transferred to the permanent domain name and available for public viewing.
Maintenance Work
For thirty days after website completion, any changes made to the website are done by JAS Designs at no cost for up to five hours. After five hours, any changes will be billed at our normal billable rate of $50 an hour.
JAS Designs empowers all of its’ clients with the ability to update their own content. Should a client wish assistance with modifications the hourly billable rate is $50 an hour. Customers can choose to be billed at the time of service or on a quarterly basis. Work will be done with no minimum and billed at the quarter hour. The normal turnaround is within 24-48 hours from acknowledgement. Should updates not occur within 72 hours of acknowledgement they will be FREE.

Emergency Assistance
If a customer has emergency, assistance will be offered at the billable rate of $50 with a $50 emergency fee.
Back up Services
We generally take backups of all websites weekly at no cost to our customers. JAS Designs has enabled all users with the ability to back up their sites prior to any changes. We encourage all clients to back up their site prior to making changes. Restores of a back up can be completed at the emergency maintenance fee schedule. Please note that your site will experience some downtime during the restore. Downtime will be kept to a minimum.
Please note that JAS Designs cannot guarantee that the back up will have all functionality, there may be extra modifications needed to get your website back to the level it was.
Design Process
Within two weeks of receipt of deposit a meeting will be scheduled to go over design questionnaire and initial design. All design will be done on our demo site www.jasdemoweb.com. An interactive web conference meeting will be scheduled to demonstrate the design options. Once a design has been agreed upon the link to your construction area will be forwarded so you can watch the progression.
Please note some back end work will not be visible to you and that you may see pages, colors and images move and change as we build. This is a normal part of the progression.
Website Ownership
Once the website has been moved to the permanent domain name there are no hidden design fees. The customer will be given access to the website. Any modifications made by the customer or their agents are at the customer’s discretion. JAS Designs will not be held liable for modifications or changes not made by JAS Designs personnel.
Under no circumstances can our design credit (link at the bottom of the website which indicates "Website by JAS Designs") be deleted. Should this occur we would request that credit be re-instated and if immediate resolution does not occur we will seek legal action and any legal fees will be presented to the customer. We reserve the right to suspend your website account pending the re-instatement of the design credit.
Content
All content should be forwarded to JAS Designs prior to Design Selection, we like to have some pictures to use for the demonstration as we find that it is easier for customers to envision their new website with familiar pictures.
At minimum we need:
• A copy of your logo with a transparent background
• Images for your pages – The higher quality the better. Please do not send us pictures that you do not have the permission to publish. Do not ask us to use pictures that are obvious proofs. If you require photos to be re-touched this can be done at an additional fee.
• A Biography and Mission Statement – do not worry if you are not a wordsmith, we can assist with creating a cohesive voice for your website but we do need to know what it is you want to say.
• Videos can be added and do not cost extra. Contact us for acceptable formats.
• Scanning – We will scan material at no additional cost.
Design Timelines
JAS Designs strives to assist its customers with a speedy design process. In order to be fair to our other customers we require all design work on a new site to be completed within 30 days of Design Selection. If JAS Designs is waiting on the customer for their content longer than 30 days, the project will be put on hold.
If a project is on hold, the customer will be asked to pay JAS Designs the full remainder prior to any further work to be initiated. Once received the customer will be given a 30-day extension for work to be completed. If after this extension the customer is unable to complete their design, any work that will be required after the 30 day extension to complete the website will be done at the billable rate of $50 an hour.
Design Abandonment
Should a customer stop work on their design process, JAS Designs will keep their project on-hold for 90 days, and then will suspend the project entirely. If this is a new website JAS Design will retain ownership of the domain name and customer will forfeit any web hosting fees. If the customer wishes to restart, a new contract will agreed upon prior to design and all payment will be expected prior to start. Work will begin after payment and will not take precedent over customers whose websites are being done within agreed upon timelines
